- Wing Notes: The first issue of pilot wing of Cyprus Airways when it was established by the British Colony in 1947. Cyprus gained its independence in 1960, so up until that year the seal as well as the airline’s livery was much like BEA. Besides the Cyprus Airways Limited (as it was commonly known at that time) was associate of BEA & BOAC.
